跟學最新口語熱詞:何爲“民生問題”
2011年全國兩會召開，中國民衆對兩會有何期待，最關注哪些問題？新華網和人民網最新的網上調查顯示，社會保障等民生問題最受關注。

"Livelihood issues", including an improved social security system and the provision of affordable housing, remain the top concerns of Chinese people, according to online polls conducted ahead of the country's annual parliamentary and political advisory sessions.
根據兩會前的網絡調查，“民生問題”成爲我國民衆關注的焦點，比如改善社保體制、保障房供應等等。
文中的livelihood issues指的就是“民生問題”，也稱爲bread-and-butter issues或者pocketbook issues，livelihood意思是“生計、謀生”。簡單的說，livelihood issues就是與百姓生活密切相關的問題，最主要表現在吃穿住行、養老就醫子女教育等日常生活的方方面面。
在本次調查中，accelerate the supply of affordable homes（加快保障房建設）和rein in rising commodity prices（穩定物價）成爲得票最多的兩個問題。此外，social security system（社會保障制度）、judicial justice（司法公正）、food safety（食品安全）等問題也備受關注。
