1. 解詞釋義

Devil的意思是“魔鬼”。在基督教文化裏，魔鬼時候背板上帝的邪惡之靈，被正義的天使大敗，驅逐出天堂。從此魔鬼就在地獄稱王，並承認人間的萬惡之源。

Raise的意思是“惹起，使出現”。從在面上看，raise the devil的意思就是“讓牛鬼蛇神都出籠，鬧得雞犬不寧”，引申爲“暴跳如雷，大叫大罵”或“大聲訓斥一個人”。

表示“大聲訓詞一個人”或者是“對某人暴跳如雷”，“對某人大叫大罵”，在短語的後面用介詞with，即爲：raise a devil with sb.。
