1. have a chip on one’s shoulder
釋義1:If someone has a chip on their shoulder, they feel angry and resentful because they think that they have been treated unfairly, especially because of their background. (氣憤不滿,惱火,惱怒)
用法:可以用get或者carry來替代have表示同樣的意思,即:carry a chip on one’s shoulder, get a chip on one’s chip.
e.g. Mary has got a chip on her shoulder about not having obtained the scholarship.
瑪麗由於沒有得到獎學金而憤憤不平。
e.g. She thinks Jenny has a chip on his shoulder because she didn't go to university.
她想Jenny因未能去讀大學而耿耿於懷。
e.g. He's got a chip on his shoulder about not having been invited to the party.
他因沒被邀請參加派對而耿耿於懷。
e.g. Kate has a chip on her shoulder when it comes to discussing her career.

e.g. He is not popular among his peers. He always seems to have a chip on his shoulder.

2. have a rock in the head
釋義:缺心眼,沒腦子
e.g. She appeared to have a rock in the head, quite naive and guileless. All she knew was that she wanted her husband.
看上去她是缺個心眼,太天真老實了,只知道要她的丈夫。
e.g. A: You must have a rock in the head. How dare you curse me in public?
你一定是腦子進水了,你怎麼在大庭廣衆下辱罵我呢?
B: I am sorry, darling, I was drunk.
對不起,親愛的,我喝醉了。
e.g. A: Is there anything wrong with me? You seems so angry.
我做錯什麼事情了嗎?你看上如此生氣。
B: I think you have a rock in the head and you've been cheated, that's what!
