員工未完成業績竟被罰當衆吃活麪包蟲!
A home furnishing store has inflicted a bizarre punishment on its employees: requiring them to eat live yellow mealworms in public.
一家家居公司給員工們制定了一條離奇的懲罰措施:要求他們當衆吃下活的麪包蟲。At around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, approximately 50 people wearing store uniforms gathered in a square in downtown Hanzhong, Shaanxi province.
11月8日下午6點半,在陝西漢中市區一處廣場上,有近50名穿着該家居店制服的人聚集在這裏。Soon, a man arrived with two bags in his hands. One bag contained chopsticks, cups and two bottles of liquor; the other contained live yellow mealworms.
很快一名手裏拿着兩個袋子的男子趕到了現場。一個袋子裏裝着筷子、杯子和兩瓶白酒;另一個袋子裏裝着活麪包蟲。
After reading off the names of underperforming employees, the man poured some liquor into each cup, added a worm, and then asked employees to drink the liquor.
這名男子先是叫出了沒有完成業績員工的名字,然後再在每一個杯子裏倒了一些白酒、放了一隻蟲子,要求唸到名字員工把酒喝掉。Five or six people accepted the man's instructions and drank the liquor.
有5、6個人遵從了男子的指示,乖乖喝掉了酒。According to a store employee, workers are required each morning to report their work objective to the supervisor, and those who fail to meet their objective are punished the following day.
據該店一名員工表示,員工們要求每天早上都要向主管報告工作目標,而沒有完成目標的員工第二天就要接受懲罰。"Today's punishment is eating worms they bought from a pet market. Four worms for losing one customer," explained an employee.
一名員工說道:“今天的懲罰是吃他們從寵物市場買回來的蟲子。丟掉一個客戶就要吃4條蟲子。”On Nov. 10, a local newspaper reporter interviewed Mr. Cao, the man in charge.
11月10日,當地一名報社記者採訪了主管曹先生。"We set sales targets for the next day and everyone signs a guarantee. If anyone fails to achieve the target, he or she will accept the punishment voluntarily," Cao said. "The targets are set by employees, with the purpose of self-motivation."
曹先生說道:“我們定下了第二天的銷售目標,每個人都簽了保證書。如果有任何人達不到這一目標的話,他們都必須自願接受懲罰。銷售目標是員工們自己定的,目的是要激勵自己。”However, some citizens who observed the event expressed a different view. They said the company ought to respect its employees instead of resorting to demeaning punishments.
然而,目睹了這一過程的市民們則發表了不同的看法。市民們表示公司應該尊重員工,而不是採用這種懲罰來貶低他們。Zhao Xiaodong, a local lawyer, noted that forcing employees to eat live worms infringes upon the employees' rights, giving them just cause to report the violation to labor inspection departments.
據當地一位名叫趙曉東的律師表示,強迫員工吃活蟲侵犯了他們的權利,員工們有正當理由向勞動監察部門報告這一侵權行爲。
