A 3-year-old boy who wandered into a car while looking for his toy died after being unable to get out of the vehicle, according to authorities.

根據官方消息，一名三歲的男孩爬進汽車裏找玩具，卻無法出去，最終被困死在車裏。

The boy entered the car parked near a house to retrieve his toy from the back seat, said Kese Smith, spokesperson of the Houston Police Department. He entered through the unlocked front door and climbed into the back seat.

休斯敦警察局發言人史密斯表示，這個男孩進入停在家附近的車裏，到後座找尋他的玩具。他是從沒鎖的前門爬到後座上去的。

Once he got into the back seat, he couldn't open the back door because the child protective locks were on, Smith said.

史密斯說，等他爬到後座上之後，由於童鎖裝置處於啓動狀態，所以他打不開車門。

It was extremely hot in Houston that day, with a high of 38 degrees Celsius.

Family members found the boy in the back of the car, about 30 to 45 minutes after he was last seen. He was in cardiac arrest and a family member began performing CPR.

The boy was taken to the Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, where he later died, according to the Houston Fire Department.

Police are still investigating and no charges have been filed.

警方目前尚在對此事進行調查，並未提交任何指控。
