穿着女性化 兩名新加坡男子在阿聯酋被判入獄一年

Two Singaporean men have been each sentenced to a year's jail in Abu Dhabi for wearing women's clothes.

近日，兩名新加坡男性因爲在阿布扎比身穿女性服飾，而各自被判刑一年。

Freelance fashion photographer Muhammad Fadli Bin Abdul Rahman, 26, was in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), for work.

26歲的自由時裝攝影師穆罕默德·法德利·本·阿卜杜勒·拉赫曼在阿拉伯聯合酋長國的首府阿布扎比工作。

Mr Fadli was travelling with his friend Nur, 37. Nur is a transgender person who has legally changed the name but has not undergone a sex-change operation to become a woman.

當時，法德利先生正和他37歲的朋友努爾一起旅行。努爾是一個合法更改了姓名的變性人，但並沒做成爲女性的變性手術。

Speaking to The Straits Times, Nur's 34-year-old younger sister said: "Nur has not undergone gender reassignment surgery, so her personal documents still state her gender as male. We are a very close-knit family and are very worried for her."

努爾34歲的妹妹向《海峽時報》透露：“努爾還沒做變性手術，所以她的個人文件上的性別仍是男性。我們的家庭關係很緊密，大家都非常擔心她。”

Mr Fadli and Nur landed in Abu Dhabi on Aug 8, and were arrested at the food court of a shopping mall the next day.

法德利和努爾於8月8日抵達阿布扎比，第二天在購物商城的食品區被捕。

An official court document in Arabic said two Singaporean men were caught wearing women's clothes in public, and for behaving indecently.

一則阿拉伯官方的法庭文件指出，這兩名新加坡男子在公共場合被抓到穿着女裝並且舉止不雅。

Cross-dressing, homosexuality and being transgender are crimes in the UAE.

穿着異性服裝、同性戀和變性，這些在阿聯酋都是違法的。
