智利成爲年對華出口水果第一名

Chile became China's leading supplier of fresh fruits in 2016, overtaking Thailand and Vietnam.

智利成功超越泰國、越南，成爲2016年我國最大的鮮果供應國。

Chile exported $1.2 billion of fresh fruit, mainly cherries, to China last year, the La Tercera reported, citing data from Chile's export promotion agency ProChile.

《時代評論者報》援引智利出口推廣機構ProChile的數據稱，去年智利對華出口價值12億美元的鮮果，其中以櫻桃爲主。

Thailand ranked second place, with $1.15 billion in fruit exports, followed by Vietnam, with $635 million.

泰國以11.5億美元的鮮果出口額位居第二，越南以6.35億美元的出口額緊隨其後。

Despite a 3.7% decline in national exports overall, Chile's fresh fruit exports to the Chinese market grew 23% over 2015.

儘管去年智利對外出口總額下降了3.7%，其對中國市場的鮮果出口額卻同比增長了23%。

"In the past 10 years, our exports to China have grown 18-fold, going from $65 million in 2007 to $1.2 billion in 2016," said Alejandro Buvinic, ProChile's director.

That growth followed the signing of a free-trade agreement between the two countries in October 2006.

Chilean fruit stands out in the Chinese market with 98% of the imported cranberries in the Chinese market being from Chile, as well as 80% of fresh cherries and plums.
