條件狀語從句的語法：

e.g. If you're not satisfied with the life you're living, don't just complain. Do something about it. 對於現況的不滿，不能只是抱怨，要有勇氣作出改變。

If you're lonely when you're alone, you're in bad company.--Jean Paul Sartre  如果你獨處時感到寂寞，說明沒有把自己陪好。

條件狀語從句就是用以表示“在某種條件下,會……”

常用 if ,in case , on condition等詞來引導

連接詞主要有 if, unless, as/so long as, on condition that,provided,suppose,supposing 等。.

主句用一般將來時，if或unless引導的條件狀語從句用一般現在時。

固定搭配：unless = if...not.　

e.g. Let's go out for a walk unless you are too tired.

If you are not too tired, let's go out for a walk.

if 引導的條件句有真實條件句和非真實條件句兩種:

真實條件句，敘述真實可能發生的事情，例如：

They get angry if they think they are being treated disrespectfully.  他們要是覺得受到了怠慢，就會大動肝火。

非真實條件句是虛擬語氣的一種，表示與事實相反，例如：

If I were you, I would go with him. 如果我是你，我就跟他走。

由as (so) long as, in case引導。

The president need not step down so long as the elections are held under international supervision.  只要選舉在國際監督下進行，總統就不用下臺。

He paused enough to consider the options but never so long as to lose the initiative.  他停頓了一會兒權衡自己有哪些選項，但並沒有久到喪失主動權。

She had had the foresight to prepare herself financially in case of an accident.  她有先見之明，經濟上作了準備以防萬一發生事故。
