but的用法大全：
but的用法1：but的基本意思相當於in spite of this或表示與所預料的不一樣,意爲“但是,然而,儘管如此”，不與though,although連用。
but的用法2：but可用來表達諸如憤怒、吃驚等強烈的感情，用來加強語氣，也可用在表示歉意的句子裏，常不譯出，還可用於改變話題，意爲“無論如何”“反正”“好”。
but的用法3：如果but接動詞不定式,當前面有do或cannot時,不定式不帶to; 當前面有anything, everything, nothing等詞時,不定式常不帶to,但也有例外; 其餘情況帶to。
but的用法4：與but連用的 do結構不具有否定意義。
but的用法5：如果主句含有hardly,never,never so,not so,not such等詞，可用but,but that或but what引導表示結果的狀語從句，構成雙重否定，相當於或unless，譯作“沒有…不”“若…，就一定”。
