英語中有許多表示人或物所處位置的短語。它們常常有固定的介詞搭配。例如：

猜位置
叫一學生離開教室,由另一學生把一件東西(文具之類)藏起來,然後把學生叫回來並問他“Where is my(her,Jim's) ruler?”猜的學生只能用on,in,under,near 等介詞來提問,
如：“Is it in your(his) pocket?”“Is it under the book?”等。全班學生用“Yes.”或“No.”回答。猜的次數最少就而且猜對的就是優勝者。
聽指令做動作
這個遊戲可訓練學生聽祈使句並快速反應的能力。教師可快速說出一些祈使句, 如：Touch your head(eye,ear,nose ...) up your hands. Close your eyes. 等,學生聽到後便做這一動作。最快最準的獲勝。可以用來發出指令的詞句還有：Touch your book(your pen,the desk ...)。Open the door(your book ...)。Hold your book(pen, pencil ...)。Wash your face(hands,teeth ...)等。這個遊戲也可以用競賽的形式進行，將全班分成若干小組,每組抽一名學生,一起到前面做動作,做錯了就被淘汰,最後剩下的一人(或兩人)爲優勝。給該組(或該兩組)記10分。然後各組再抽另一名學生上前繼續進行。
