外企公司的管理層工作大都認真負責，往往能起到“領頭羊”的作用。他們通常來得最早，走得最晚，每天至少比普通員工多幹兩到三個小時，因此管理層的工資水平會比普通員工也高出不少。對此，大家都心服口服。這在無形中會讓普通員工感受到工作的責任及壓力，他們也會努力提高工作效率。
外企公司在員工的福利方面不如我國企業那麼豐厚。我國單位諸如組織員工外出旅遊及逢年過節的過節費之類的福利，在英國是沒有的。
但外企公司給員工最大的福利恐怕莫過於那至少21天的帶薪年假，職位越高可享受的年假天數越多。他們對員工的關懷更多的是體現在精神上，而不是物質上。
對於年假，員工可以自由支配，並且可以間斷地、不連續休假。不過，因爲年假中的三天必須保留用於聖誕節的假期，所以在21天的年假中，員工其實只能隨意安排另外的18天。
