SELENE: Can I help you?

思琳娜：有什麼我能幫忙的嗎？

TERRY: Yes. I am interested in applying for graduate school here.

泰瑞：是的，我很想申請這裏的研究生院。

SELENE: Alright. Do you have some specific questions?

思琳娜：很好，你有什麼特別的問題嗎？

TERRY: Not really. I am in Madison visiting a I would like to go to school here too. So he told me to come to this office.

泰瑞：沒有，我在麥迪遜拜訪朋友。我想要到這裏上課，他告訴我到這間辦公室來。

SELENE: Have you sent in an application already?

思琳娜：你寄申請表來了嗎？

TERRY: No, I haven't.

SELENE: Well, I'm sorry to tell you,but the deadline for applications has already passed.

TERRY: I'm sorry. What does that mean?

SELENE: That means it is already too late to apply for school this fall semester.

TERRY: Really?

泰瑞：真的嗎？

SELENE: Yes. The Graduate School accepts no applications after January it is already February if you apply, you must apply to begin first semester next year.

思琳娜：是的，研究生院在一月二十九日後停止接受申請表。而現在已經是二月五日了。所以你申請的話，你必須申請明年的第一個學期。

TERRY: That is January next year. Yes?

泰瑞：那是明年的一月，是嗎？

SELENE: That's right.

思琳娜：沒錯。

TERRY: Alright. Well, can you tell me what I need in my application?

SELENE: All the information is included in the application packet.

SELENE: All applicants to the graduate school must have three letters of must have official university transcripts sent directly from their previous school.

思琳娜：所有申請研究生院的人都需要有三封推薦信。他們也要讓原學校寄來正式大學的成績單。

TERRY: I can't send my transcripts myself?

泰瑞：我不能自己寄我的成績單嗎？

SELENE: No. Your school must send them to , all graduate students must have GRE or GMAT scores sent to us by the testing center.

思琳娜：不能。你的學校必須要寄給我們。還有，所有的研究生必需要有 GRE 或是 GMAT 的成績，由考試中心寄給我們。

TERRY: How much is the application fee for applying to graduate school?

泰瑞：申請研究生院的申請費是多少？

SELENE: The application fee is $40.

思琳娜：申請費是四十美元。

TERRY: Alright. Give me one application packet please.I'll take it back and start to fill it out.

泰瑞：好的，請給我一套申請表。我帶回去就開始填寫。

SELENE: Here you are.

思琳娜：這裏就是。

TERRY: Thank you.
