The song 'High Hopes' sung by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd band is a song I have loved always and would hear often for the rest of my life. Pink Floyds is famous for their progressive and psychedelic music and high-quality lyrics. This song falls under the progressive rock music genre and was the 11th song on the album 'Division Bell'. I usually listen to this song on my computer and sometimes in my MP3 player with the headphone. In fact, I am a great fan of this music band and most of their songs are on my favourite list. This song is specifically attractive for the music composition, lyrics and theme when it debuted.
This song reminds the past and compares how greener and full of possibility it was. The church bell and the lyrics make an out of the world illusion that only people who love it would realise. Every time I hear this song, I can feel my childhood, the sweet memory and the greener town I used to live. This is the song that opens the horizon for me to visit my past. I love this song from my heart. This music puts me in a sad yet charming mood. I feel sad that the past days won't be coming back and I won't have that childhood charm anymore. On the other hand, this song gives me a genuine pleasure of the memories of my childhood and all the friends and people I knew then.

Honestly speaking, for the most part, I would probably say that I have a great passion for listening to music and indeed I have listened like thousands of songs so far. However, if I have to pick out a song that I like the most, I would probably choose the song Million Years Ago by Adele. By gorgeous lyrics and melody, it’s like a piece of cake for Adele to make me addicted to this song.
A significant feature that I should mention is the song’s meaningful content. It is a regretful calling inside an adult who has born his soul on the way of growing up and earning his stripes. Every now and then I feel he is so desperate that he could do anything to escape the cycle of his life but after all he can’t afford to do so. The reason why I am so fond of this song has something to do with the fact that it provokes so many beautiful memories from my childhood.
Although this song is a sad song, it opens my eyes to many things in life, one of them is that you should not take anything for granted, even the simplest one, try to live to your fullest so that one day you would not have to regret that much about the journey that you have been through. Fairly speaking, Million Years Ago is a really good songs for self – reflecting especially when you find yourself lost in the super busy world nowadays.

I would like to describe a song called “Hey Jude”, which was firstly sung by the English rock band the Beatles. Actually it’s a song McCartney wrote to cheer up a 5-year old boy Julian, during his parents' divorce. The song was first released in August 1968 as the first single from one of the Beatles' records. The song reached the top of both British and American charts. Then, it became an uplifting ballad that’s inspired the masses for decades.
I was also touched by the song the first time I heard it in my high school. I especially like the lyrics, which carry an encouraging message, like when he sings “make a sad song and make it better”. It taught us to be positive and optimistic when things aren’t going well. The lyrics and the tune always spark a bit of romance in my heart. I tended to listen to this song when I came across all kinds of frustration and failures in my life. It’s really a wake-up call for me and could drag me out of tough situations. Nowadays, I can’t help singing along with the song once it plays. It also had been covered by a series of singers worldwide. Interestingly, it was sung by 80,000 people in the stadium during the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games. The scene was spectacular, hard to describe in words!
