know when (where) 知道……
這是利用各種疑問詞變成……I know what/why/how 主語+動詞的形態，比前文中提到的 know that 主語+動詞的使用頻率更高。只不過從句並不是倒序的形態，而是“疑問詞+主語+動詞”。尤其 you.don't know+疑問詞主要用來抱怨、指責對方。具體例子爲 You don't know what it's like to+動詞（你不知道這是什麼）。
