德語中的一二三四格
以人稱爲例，第一格、第三（二）格、第四格：ich-mir-mich、du-dir-dich、er-ihm-ihn、sie-ihr-sie、es-ihm-es、wir-uns-uns、ihr-euch-euch等。
德語人稱總結：

簡單的5句例句（德英對照）
Wer bist du?—who are you?
Sie ist groß—--she is tall
Wir sind hier—we are here
Ihr seid stark—you are strong
Sie sind laut—-they are noisy
人稱根據名詞的性數格變化。
der Mann => er (masculine/nominative)
die Frau => sie (feminine/nominative)
das Mädchen => es (neuter/nominative)
注：德語中，人稱代詞根據名詞的語法屬性變化。並不能因爲女孩子是女性，就用人稱代詞sie，而要用es因爲Mädchen這個單詞是中性的。
例子：
Der Mann ist nicht reich. Er ist arm. - The man is not rich. He is poor.
Die Frau ist nicht jung. Sie ist alt. - The woman is not young. She is old.
Das Mädchen ist nicht groß. Es ist klein. - The girl is not tall. She is small.
