Xiamen is located in Southeast of Fujian province,it is considered as the cleanest port city in China thus people call Xiamen "the garden on the sea" or call it "green island". Back to Song dynasty it started its administrative founding until e are a great variety of sights to witness in ngyu Island, the most beautiful island near Xiamen, has won great reputation for its Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang h Putuo Temple, which is located at the foot of Wulaofeng and is deemed to be the most renowned Buddhist temple in en Botanical Garden, known as the Wanshi Botanical Garden,which has scenic spots such as the Morning Bell of Heaven, the Reading and Music Playing Cave, the Cloud Locking Stones, the Jade Scepter Rock and the Peace Stone. In the past decade, Xiamen has changed a lot with rapid advancing in agriculture,industry,science technology and education areas.

Xiamen is a beautiful harbor city, which islocated in the Southeast of Fujian Province. The local people are very friendly to the travelers from other places. There are lots of amazing museums and galleries in Xiamen, and the most popular one must be Gulangyu Island. It is a small island with fantastic landscapes. A number of funny shops and western old buildings always attract many travelers to visit, even though they have to go by ship.

The weather in Xiamen is good, but it might betoo hot for foreign visitors. Even though people here all speak Hokkien, wealso study hard to improve our Chinese and English to give warm welcome to others from all over the world.

As one of the major seaports since ancient times, Xiamen boasts a wide gulf with deep water but without freezing and silting. The name of 'Xiamen' was consequently given, which means 'a gate of China'. As one of the forerunners of the special economic zones of China, Xiamen mainly consisting of Xiamen Island, Gulangyu Island, the north bank area of the Jiulong River and Tong'an County, is connected with the mainland by the Gaoji Seawall, Xiamen Bridge, etc. Xiamen has been called the Egret Island because of the hundreds of thousands of egrets inhabiting there. This is due to the beautiful natural scenery, the fresh air and the clean environment of the city. Xiamen CityBeing of a subtropical monsoon climate with mild weather all year round expect the typhoon months, Xiamen is an ideal tourist destination for you. It is a typical littoral city with abundant tourist attractions such as islands, mountains, temples and parks, etc., providing you with a full sightseeing schedule. The well-known Gulangyu Island, Nanputuo Temple and other tourist areas like Jimei, Hulishan Battery, Wanshiyan, etc. are highly recommended. A sea tourist line is also available for you to enjoy the amazing scenery of many beautiful small islands around.

Last summer holiday, I visited to Xiamen with my parentsby plane. My English teacher once told us that Xiamen is a beautiful city that worth of visiting. We stayed there for four days. We lived in a small fishing village. On the first day, we visited to Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple. Xiamen University is consideredas the most beautiful and romantic campus in China. Indeed, it's fantastic and its buildings are distinctive. On the second days, we enjoyed the scenery of Jimei District. On the third day, We visited to Gulangyu. It's amazing and I like it very much. There are many small specific stores. However, the huge tourist visitors make the small island crowed. Anyway, it was a pleasant trip.

去年暑假，我和父母坐飛機到廈門旅遊。我的英語老師曾經告訴我們廈門是個值得參觀的美麗城市。我們在那待了四天。我們住在一個小漁村裏。第一天，我們參觀了廈門大學和南普陀寺。廈門大學被看做是中國最美麗和浪漫的校園。事實上，它很迷人，裏面的建築與衆不同。第二天，我們參觀了集美景區。第三天，我們參觀了鼓浪嶼。那裏的景色令人驚訝，我很喜歡。那裏有很多小商店。但是，大量的遊客使得小島很擁擠。不管怎麼樣，這是一次愉快的旅途。
