拔苗助長 Help the Young Shoots Grow
Long, long ago, a farmer thought the shoots in his fields were not growing fast enough. He wanted to help he pulled every shoot up, then went home, feeling very tired but very satisfied. "Look, how great I an! I can think out such a good now on, my shoots will grow faster and faster," he thought. "I an very tired today," he said to his family, "I've been helping the young shoots to grow."When his son heard this, he ran out to the fields to have a his surprise, he found all the shoots weredead.
很久很久以前，一個農夫感覺他田裏的幼苗長得不是很快，他想幫助它們。於是他就向上拔它們，然後回了家，雖然感覺很累但是卻很滿意。他默默地想：“瞧我多麼的偉大，我能想出如此好的辦法。從現在起，我的幼苗將會生長得越來越快。”於是他對家人說：“我今天累壞了，我在幫助幼苗生長。”當他的兒子聽到這話，便匆忙跑到地裏去看。讓他吃驚的是，他發現所有的幼苗都死了。
小學生英語作文篇2Energy ResonrcesChina is rich in various energy resources. Coal and petroleum, for instance, are two major trees. They ave essential in developing the country's industry, ,science and technology. China has done a great deal in the past few decades to raise the output of coal and petroleum.
These energy resources are being used up rapidly, however. With the building of four modernizations, new industrial and science projects axe springing up like bam booshoots after a spring rain. They are all enormous consumers of energy resources. Be sides, there has been great waste in using these resources.
To avoid energy crisis in the future, the government must take measures. First, it should let the people know, through education, the importance of ,saving energy. Sec ond, efforts should be made in opening up new energy resources, such as solar energy, geothermal energy and so on. We have reasons to be optimistic in this respect.
中國能源豐富，譬如，煤和油是兩種主要資源。這些能源在發展國家工業、科技方面是必要的。在過去的幾十年中，爲了提高煤和石油的產量，中國已經做了大量的工作。
然而，這些能源正被迅速消耗。隨着四個現代化的建設，新的工業和科學工程像雨後春筍—樣發展起來，這些工程都需要消耗大量能源。另外，在使用這些能源的過程中也有許多浪費。
爲了避免未來的能源危機，政府必須採取措施。首先，應當通過教育讓人們知道節能的重要性。其次，應努力開發新的能源，如太陽能、地熱能等等。在這方面我們有理由樂觀。

But every coin has two sides. The development of the private cars will bring about a series of problems. For example, the polluted air given off by cars will do great harm to our health, too many private cars will lead to traffic jams and a great deal of energy will be wasted and so on.
當然，任何事物都有其兩面性。快速發展的私家車會導致一系列問題。例如，汽車排出的廢氣對人體有很大的傷害，太多的私家車會導致交通阻塞，很多能源被浪費等。
