價太高難出手 英國一歌劇演員竟抽獎售豪宅

A former opera singer is raffling off his 1 million pounds Italian mansion complete with swimming pool, church and fig groves - for 2 pounds a ticket.

Father-of-three Mark Glanville, 58, bought the 17th century fortified manor house with his wife and they renovated it into a luxury holiday home with room for 27 guests.

Sitting among acres of orange, lemon, olive and fig groves and surrounded by an ancient walled garden, it has a private church, mosaic pool and courtyard.

But after a year on the market without any acceptable offers, Mr Glanville agreed to let his son Josh, 21, organize a lucky draw to give away the seven-bed home.

He is selling up to 575,000 tickets for 2 pounds each and the winner will get the keys to the home near the medieval town of Oria.

The west Londoner says: "Our family have been living the Italian mansion for over a decade and this is our way of giving as many people as possible the chance to have the amazing experience we have enjoyed."
