恆生指數突破3萬點

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index closed above the 30,000 level for the first time in more than a decade on Wednesday driven broadly by strong earnings and particular interest in one high-flying stock, Tencent.

週三，香港恆生指數(Hang Seng index)在十年多以來首次收於30000點以上，這主要得益於高歌猛進的騰訊(Tencent)盈利強勁並引起投資者的極大興趣。

The benchmark settled at 30,003.49, its highest level since October 2007. The index has gained 36.4 per cent this year, making it the best performing global benchmark in the world.

這一基準股指收於30003.49點，創2007年10月以來新高。該指數今年已上漲36.4%，成爲世界上表現最好的全球基準股指。

Much of the momentum comes from Chinese technology group Tencent, which this week briefly eclipsed the market cap of Facebook. Tencent’s share price has climbed 125.5 per cent for the year to date, contributing almost one-third of the Hang Seng’s gains.

恆指上漲的大部分動力來自中國科技集團騰訊。本週，騰訊的市值短時超過了Facebook。今年迄今，騰訊股價已上漲了125.5%，對恆指漲幅的貢獻率接近三分之一。

The group, which also this week surpassed a $500bn market cap, becoming the first Chinese technology company to reach such a valuation, also captures another theme driving the Hang Seng: earnings.

Tencent surged after reporting in mid-November a third-quarter profit that smashed expectations, with income rising 57 per cent year on year to Rmb22.75bn ($3.43bn). The group closed 0.7 per cent higher on Wednesday.

11月中旬騰訊公佈了超預期的第三季度盈利，經營盈利同比增長57%，至227.5億元人民幣（合34.3億美元），導致其股價應聲大漲。週三騰訊股價收漲0.7%。

Hong Hao, head of research at Bocom International, said strong earnings results from companies including Tencent had given the market “a lot of confidence”, fuelling broadly bullish sentiment.

交銀國際(Bocom International)研究總監洪灝表示，包括騰訊在內的公司的強勁盈利給予了市場“很大的信心”，助長了普遍看漲的情緒。
