71歲老漢娶114歲新娘 苦追一年終如願

The old saying 'it's never too late to find love' has rung true for a 71-year-old Chinese pensioner after he married a 114-year-old woman.

近日，“愛情不怕晚”這句俗語在一位中國退休老人身上得到了驗證，71歲高齡的他迎娶了114歲的高齡新娘。

The man, identified only by the surname Zheng, said it was love at first sight when he met his older bride, Zhang Shuying, around a year ago.

目前只知道這位姓鄭的老人表示，大約一年前，他遇到了現在的、比自己年長的新娘張淑英，那時就對她一見鍾情。

But it took more than a year of courtship for the man to convince the super-centenarian to be his wife. They fell in love when he was forced into move into a nursing home in China's Bachu County.

但是老人苦苦追求一年多才最終成功求娶這位已過百旬的新娘。他們在被迫搬入巴楚縣的一家養老院期間相愛了。

Zheng, who has been disabled since a train accident 50 years ago, said his bride was one of the first to care for him when he arrived and he always found her 'kind' and 'gentle'.

老鄭表示，50年前的一場火車事故令他成爲了殘疾，當他來到養老院時，他的新娘是第一個關心照顧他的人，他覺得她'溫柔'並且'善良'。

But Zhang is said to have been reluctant to start a relationship with the man - who is 43 years younger than her - saying that she did not wish to commit at such a great age.

不過，張淑英當時並不願意與比自己小了43歲的老鄭在一起，她表示自己不願意在年齡這麼大時結婚。

That reluctance eventually faded away, and the lovebirds recently tied the knot in a nursing home in front of dozens of residents and carers.

好在最終有情人終成眷屬，這對愛侶最終在養老院，在許多居民和護理人員的見證下喜結良緣。

They registered their marriage at the local government office, receiving certificates which have been stamped and authenticated.

他們在當地民政部門登記結婚，領了蓋了章、認證的結婚證。

After their wedding, Zheng said: "I am uneducated and poor. A train accident broke both my legs when I was 20, so I never dreamt I'd live to see such a happy day."

在他們的婚禮結束後，老鄭表示:“我沒受過什麼教育，我也沒有錢，20歲的時候火車壓斷了我的雙腿，我做夢也沒想到我能活着看到這麼快樂的一天。”
