應乘客要求 美聯航恢復供應番茄汁

The juice of a fruit once thought to cause madness -- the tomato -- got United Airlines in hot water with travelers last week.

曾被認爲能導致人瘋狂的水果番茄所榨成的汁，上週讓美國聯合航空公司備受乘客指責。

United decided to cut tomato juice from its selection of in-flight beverages, but quickly reversed its decision after a torrent of complaints on social media.

美聯航本已決定將番茄汁從其航班飲料單中劃除，但此舉招致社交媒體上怨聲載道。

"What are you doing United Airlines? Everyone knows tomato juice is so much better in the air!!!!" said a netizen.

一名網友說：“美聯航你們在幹什麼？誰都知道番茄汁在空中喝味道好得多！！！！”

"I've always been a united guy and will book based on price, but if your price is equal to your competitor, the airline serving the tomato juice will get my business!" howled another.

另外一名網友咆哮道：“我一直乘坐美聯航，並且基於價格而預訂，但是如果你們的價格和競爭者一樣，我會選擇能喝到番茄汁的航空公司。”

The airlines, which has had a few self-created public-relations disasters in the not too distant past, was wise enough to head off the outrage before it ascended to an even higher altitude.

The airline has now announced that the drink will be reinstated. It said on Twitter: "You say tomato. We say, we hear you. Tomato juice is here to stay. #letscallthewholethingoff."
