(1)dread    vt.擔憂，憂慮；懼怕，不敢    n.擔憂，畏懼
I dread to think what will happen if she finds out the truth.
我不敢去想她知道真相後會怎麼樣。

(2)tact     n.圓通，機敏，老練
He's short on tact.
他處事不夠圓通。

(3)administrative    a.管理的，行政的
He regarded all these administrative details as beneath his notice.
他認為行政管理上的這些瑣事都不值一顧。

(4)revitalize    v.使復活，使重新充滿活力
I think we have to revitalize our society.
我覺得我們的社會需要新生。

(5)pinnacle    n.頂點
He has reached the pinnacle of his career.
他已經登上事業的頂峰。

(6)calibre    n.(槍等)口徑，(人或事)品質，才能

(16)patronize     vt.以高人一等的態度對待；惠顧；贊助

(17)banal    a.陳腐的
A trite or banal remark or statement, especially one expressed as if it were original or significant.
