Today day is a memorable day, are the annual Father's Day!

Deep sea motherly love, fatherly love heavy as a mountain. People at thesame time to celebrate Mother's Day and did not forget his father'sachievements. Someone start the year on the recommendation of Father's s, it is to celebrate the first Father's Day. At that time, the late fatherof all people have to wear a white rose, the father of the people alive whilewearing red roses. This custom has been passed so far.

It is said that the selection of Father's Day is a month over month becauseof the sun are the most heated one, a symbol of the father to give theirchildren the love that hot. Paternal such as mountains, tall and lofty, let melook timid and afraid to climb Health; father such as days, and far-reaching, sothat Yang and my heart did not dare pity; paternal great deep are pure and notreturn , but love is a bitter, difficult to understand depression and theunattainable.

Father, like a tree, always, let him lush foliage of a solid arm for thetree to create shadeus. Years such as the fingers over the water, like, before Iknew it, we have grown up, while the tree is gradually aging, and even the newleaves are no longer the hair full of vitality. Annually on the third Sunday isfather's holiday, let us sincerely say: Father, I love you! Happy Father'sDay!

Now, the Certificate of Education Examination and the final examsapproaching, I suggest that we should seize the time, study hard, with excellentresults as to the father's gift, great father to return, I believe his father atthat time are the most beautiful smile! Students, come on now! ! !

good morning. its good to be home on this fathers day with my girls, andits an honor to spend some time with all of you today in the house of ourlord.

at the end of the sermon on the mount, jesus closes by saying, whoeverhears these words of mine, and does them, shall be likened to a wise man whobuilt his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, andthe winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was foundedupon a rock.

of all the rocks upon which we build our lives, we are reminded today thatfamily is the most important. and we are called to recognize and honor howcritical every father is to that foundation. they are teachers and coaches. theyare mentors and role models. they are examples of succeand the men whoconstantly push us toward it.

but if we are honest with ourselves, well admit that what too many fathersalso are is missing - missing from too many lives and too many homes. they haveabandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. and thefoundations of our families are weaker because ofit.

how many times in the last year has this city lost a child at the hands ofanother child? how many times have our hearts stopped in the middle of the nightwith the sound of a gunshot or a siren? how many teenagers have we seen hangingaround on street corners when they should be sitting in a classroom? how manyare sitting in prison when they should be working, or at least looking for ajob? how many in this generation are we willing to lose to poverty or violenceor addiction? howmany?

yes, we need more cops on the street. yes, we need fewer guns in the handsof people who shouldnt have them. yes, we need more money for our schools, andmorebut we also need families to raise our children. we need fathers to realizethatresponsibility does not end at conception. we need them to realize that whatmakes you a man is not the ability to have a child - its the courage to raiseone.

we need to help all the mothers out there who are raising these kids bythemselves; the mothers who drop them off at school, go to work, pick up them upin the afternoon, work another shift, get dinner, make lunches, pay the bills, fix the house, and all the other things it takes both parents to do. so many ofthese women are doing a heroic job, but they need support. they need anotherparent. their children need another parent. thats what keeps their foundationstrong. its what keeps the foundation of our countrystrong. i know what it means to have an absent father, although my circumstances werentas tough as they are for many young people today. even though my father left uswhen i was two years old, and i only knew him from the letters he wrote and thestories that my family told, i was luckier than most. i grew up in hawaii, andhad two wonderful grandparents from kansas who poured everything they had intohelping my mother raise my sister and me - who worked with her to teach us aboutlove and respect and the obligations we have to one another. i screwed up moreoften than i shouldve, but i got plenty of second chances. and even though wedidnt have a lot

of money, scholarships gave me the opportunity to go to some of the bestschools in the country. a lot of kids dont get these chances today. there is nomargin for error in their lives. so my own story is different in thatway.

still, i know the toll that being a single parent took on my mother - howshe struggled at times to the pay bills; to give us the things that other kidshad; to play all the roles that both parents are supposed to play. and i knowthe toll it took on me. so i resolved many years ago that it was my obligationto break the cycle - that if i could be anything in life, i would be a goodfather to my girls; that if i could give them anything, i would give them thatrock - that foundation - on which to build their lives. and that would be thegreatest gift i couldoffer. i say this knowing that i have been an imperfect father - knowing that i havemade

mistakes and will continue to make more; wishing that i could be home formy girls and my

wife more than i am right now. i say this knowing all of these thingsbecause even as we are imperfect, even as we face difficult circumstances, thereare still certain lessons we must strive to live and learn as fathers - whetherwe are black or white; rich or poor; from the south side or the wealthiestsuburb.

education thatrequires.

its up to us - as fathers and parents - to instill this ethic of excellencein our children. its up to us to say to our daughters, dont ever let images ontv tell you what you are worth, because i expect you to dream without limit andreach for those goals. its up to us to tell our sons, those songs on the radiomay glorify violence, but in my house we live glory to achievement, selfrespect, and hard work. its up to us to set these high expectations. and thatmeans meeting those expectations ourselves. that means setting examples of

excellence in our own lives.

the second thing we need to do as fathers is paalong the value of empathyto our children. not sympathy, but empathy - the ability to stand in somebodyelses shoes; to look at the world through their eyes. sometimes its so easy toget caught up in us, that we forget about our obligations to one another. theresa culture in our society that says remembering these obligations is somehow soft- that we cant show weakness, and so therefore we cant showkindness.

but our young boys and girls see that. they see when you are ignoring ormistreating your wife. they see when you are inconsiderate at home; or when youare distant; or when you are thinking only of yourself. and so its no surprisewhen we see that behavior in our schools or on our streets. thats why we paonthe values of empathy and kindneto our children by living them. we need to showour kids that youre not strong by putting other people down - youre strong bylifting them up. thats our responsibility as fathers.

and by the way - its a responsibility that also extends to use if fathers are doing their part; if theyre taking our responsibilitiesseriously to be there for their

children, and set high expectations for them, and instill in them a senseof excellence and empathy, then our government should meet themhalfway.

People say that father’s love likes a mountain: heavy and silent. It’sheavy because he puts all his love to us and it’s silent because he does notknow how to express. Faced his love, we accept it silently without saying a wordto show our appreciation.

Before I was going to senior school, my father had never said a word toshow his love to me, so that I thought he did not love me very much andsometimes I was upset about it. However, when I left home for senior school, hecalled me frequently and just asked me some simple questions like: how’s yourstudy and life? When do you come home? or something like that. Gradually, Irealize that he misses me although he would never say it out. So this isfather’s love, not so obvious but definitely deep.
