  高中英語做好中英翻譯題的方法

一、分析句子結構、尋找合適的句型

中文必須仔細讀,一定要看的就是題目給我們的關鍵字或關鍵的詞組,也就是我們常說的key words。尤其是最後兩句翻譯句子,它們大都在句子結構上提高了難度。讀什麼?讀出句子結構:對於簡單句,辨別出主謂賓,分清定語、同位語和狀語;對於並列句,記住兩個語法意義上獨立的分句,須由連詞連接起來;對於複合句,須區分定語從句,名詞性從句以及狀語從句。一般來說,中譯英的句型可分爲三大類:1.簡單句;2.並列句;3.複合句;同時我們也要注意非謂語動詞及其他一些特殊結構。回顧近幾年的高考試題時,也不難發現試題中考了一些特殊句式。如:It句型(近幾年考得較爲頻繁)、倒裝句、with結構。

例1: 昨天我的電腦壞了。(wrong)

解析:本題考查:1)簡單句There be結構;2)wrong的用法;3)中英文表達的差異。

譯句:There was something wrong with my computer yesterday.

例2: 遇到困難的時候,我們需要的不是彼此埋怨,而是互相幫助。(not…but)

解析:本題考查:1)複合句:when引導的狀語從句;what引導的主語從句;2)not…but結構;3)“彼此埋怨”的英文翻譯。

譯句:When(we are)in difficulty/When we meet with difficulties/When we have difficulties ,what we need is not to blame each other but to help each other.

例3:我們能做什麼來阻止這種疾病蔓延呢?(prevent)

分析:如果有學生沒有讀全中文原句的話,就很有可能看成是以前所做的“我們要做些什麼來阻止這種疾病的蔓延”,而譯爲We should do something to prevent the spread of this disease.因爲這個原因而造成扣分,就太不應該了。

譯句:What can we do to prevent the spread of this disease?

例4:他很有可能通過自己的努力得到駕駛執照。(likely)

譯句:He is likely to get the driving license with his own efforts.

分析:有些學生一看到有可能,就會想到自己比較熟悉的possible,想當然地翻譯成It is possible that…的結構。其實,學生對likely這個key word的使用也是會的,完全能夠使用be likely to do或It’s likely that…的結構。

例5:上海近幾年經歷了許多變化,如今已成爲世界聞名的經濟中心。(go through)

分析:乍一看,學生很容易輕易下筆,Shanghai has gone through…,it has become…,這已成爲很多學生的一個習慣,句子和句子中隨便用逗號隔開,英語不像中文,必須要考慮到句子的結構,逗號也不能隨意使用。而此句中,就要想到用並列句中的連接詞and來連接兩個成分。

譯句:Shanghai has gone through many changes and now it has become a world-famous economic center.

例6:我爲這些話所深深感動,後來我就把它們寫在聖誕賀卡上。(impress)

分析:在注意到impress使用的基礎上,儘管從原句中無法讀出如此…以至於…的意思,但要想到句中缺少一定的連接詞,這時就可以運用到so…that…結構。

譯句:I was so impressed by these words that I used them later for a Christmas card.
