Persuading Others

Jane: This is the house I want to rent.
Jack: Why? What do you think it has that the others don't?
Jane: Well, four things come to mind: first, it's comfortable; second. I love the view - the city looks beautiful from here;
third, it comes fully finished with all modern appliances; finally, it is close to downtown where we work.
Jack: I hear what you were saying. and I agree with you. But what's the rent?
Jane: $200 per week.
Jack: That's a lot more expensive than the other areas we looked at. Do you think we can bargain the rent down?
Jane: Don't you think I can save a lot on bus fares? Everything is so convenient and close, especially work.
Jack: Is it worth all the effort? You only work twice a week and shop once a week. The university isn't that close and you'd
have to spend a lot on the bus every day to get there.
Jane: True. But I do like it, so I’ll have to think about it some more.
