1. keep someone in the dark

這個短語也可以寫成是 leave someone in the dark。dark除了表示黑暗，還可以表示無知，這個短語的意思就是“to not tell someone about something 不告訴某人某件事”。

比如：She claims she knew nothing about the deal and was deliberately kept in the dark. 她聲稱對這起交易毫不知情，而且被有意矇在鼓裏。

2. get into

這個短語在這裏的意思是“become involved 陷入到……中去”。

比如：He got into trouble by stealing cars. 他偷車，給自己惹了麻煩。

3. hop in the sack

Hop 是“跳”，sack 是“睡袋”，這下大家該明白是什麼意思了吧，就是“同牀共枕”囉！實際上老外在日常口語中也是喜歡用很多比喻、暗示之類的，這樣的語言纔會多姿多彩。我們中國人在日常交流中也是這樣的。

4. on the market

On the market 的本意是“for sale; also, available for buying 有供應的，可以出售的”，這裏的意思是“單身 available”，也是一個比喻的說法。

比如：--- I just broke up with my girlfriend. 我剛和女朋友分手了。
--- Don’t be so sad. You’re back on the market. There are so many good girls.

5. You're evil.

Evil 我們學過的，表示“邪惡”，不是個好詞。但是用在這裏可完全不一樣了。這裏是表示一種開玩笑的說法：你可真夠壞的啊！
