Room 3108 is a legend, a myth, and a folklore of great endeavor, hardships, and pursuit. In a word, it is a shrine of the hardworking students in Fudan.
Every morning, when the sunshine penetrates into the room, the night owls wrap up their books and leave. Then, with bread in their mouths, new comers rush in for the daily lessons.
A new day begins.
In the sunny splendor of early spring, the pied magpies are showing off their sweet voice outside the window. Inside the classroom, students are working hard to fulfil their desires desires to explore the uncharted frontier of science and technology, desires to clear up the unsolved social and economic problems, desires to achieve breakthroughs of engineering, and desires to combat fatal diseases. All lives in the room are in full swing.
As the sunshine fades, the shrine reaches its climax in a day. Different lectures compete with each other on this the attention is focused on the lecturer and the applause from audience is the first award. Occasionally, a student sneaks in to occupy a seat for tomorrow's lesson. Almost no one notices him, for all the people have their eyes fixed on every gesture,every expression and every word of the lecturer, devouring as much as they can until the emcee officially declares the conclusion of the lecture.
Then, come the night owls. Students, from freshmen to seniors, write and read, trying every means to work with high efficiency. As the midnight approaches, drowsiness would press most learners out of the room. Still, a certain number are nailed on the seats till the daybreak.
That's Room 3108, a shrine for the hardworking knowledge seekers.

The first time I entered the campus as a freshman, I was deeply attracted by her cultural atmosphere and historical connotation. Fudan is a graceful lady who is accustomed to serenity but meanwhile each action of hers outpours her innermost tern perament. Apparently it is worth every effort to probe into her world for the sake of both physical and mental enrichment. Her humanistic spirit inspires me to care for everything around, even the most trivial one.
On the other hand, catching up with the times, Fudan is modern and smart. You see, the many age-old buildings here are actually great libraries and labs. Scientific and technological developrnent is easily smelt in the air,because she never lags behind the world.
Fabulously, such a historical and scientific school is far more than an operational mechanism. Her everlasting youth and vigor beam through every corner of the campus and the young in school vivify every piece of concrete and wood here. What makes me happy and strong is that it perpetuates me with unfading energy. And it is definitely beneficial for me to be granted enthusi
Another deep impression of my university is her creativity and profundity. As is known to all, she has a wide range and comprehensive style. No wonder I can enjoy the multi-ceolored life here. Every school year a diversity of competitions and aetivities are held and a large number of students take active part in them. I do appreciate such a style, and in my mind's eye, she resembles a tall tree silhouetting with all shapes of branches while stretching far into the blue sky.
Undoubtedly there is a world of difference between university and high school. University students are supposed to enjoy more freedom to develop themselves. However, Fudan seems more concerned about the efficient cooperation and teamwork among students as to prepare them for the competitive society. I believe upon graduation I will be equipped with abundant skills to face more unknown challenges.
After all, in my opinion, university is for more cultivated character, richer knowledge and greater abilities. That's why I chose Fudan. She provides me with what I've dreamed of.
Now all kinds of successes are in sight every day, and all I have to do is endeavor for a more beautiful future...

大學英語優秀範文簡評：A Little GardenI was attracted by the scenery out of the window the first day I came to my dormitory and since then it has become my hab it to sit by the window and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Every time my roommates see me absorbed in it, they shake their heads, puzzled. To them, there is nothing more than a deserted piece of grassland outside the window. But it is their misfortune to fail to find the wonder and the beauty.
The little garden, as I name it, is fenced at one end by the school wall and at the other by our five storied dormitory building. A couple of tropical trees stand straight at the corner. Such is the small but lovely garden. I like sitting in my chair by the window and looking at it affectionately. It takes on new appearances in different seasons, so I never feel bored.
The garden looks very poor in winter. The grass has withered and the bare trees stand lonely in the chilly wind. But when spring comes, the trees are decorated by greenish new leaves and the grassland is dotted with small white flowers. One afternoon after many days'rain, under the blue sky with some drifting clouds, some students are lying on the grass, enjoying the sun shine. I am glad to find someone else to appreciate this place.
But my favorite moment is at night. After a whole day's hard work, I throw myself into the window chair. Breathing the fresh air, feeling the soft breeze, and listening to the leaves rustling, I feel refreshed. The whole world seems ready to sleep,and my little garden is dozing off. I enjoy this peaceful moment and gain release for my thoughts.
Perhaps the small garden has something deeper that arouses my admiration. It is deserted but it has never abandoned is not taken care of but it takes care of itself. It suffers the sweltering heat and freezing cold but never yields to all the hardships.
