However, some people think that in the influence of the western culture, modesty seems not so important as before. I can't agree with them. I think it's the quality veryone should process. Many young people do not realize the importance of modesty. They are sitisfied with a little success, so that they don't try hard to make progress. Besides, some others have too high an opinion of themselves, totally ignoring others' suggestions and advices. All these will lead them to a bad consequence in the future.

謙虛是中國人的傳統美德，中國歷史上有很多關於謙虛的故事。然而，有人卻認爲受西方文化影響，謙虛沒那麼被重視了。我不同意這種說法，我認爲謙虛是每個人都要學會的。很多年輕人沒意識到它的重要性，他們滿足於自己的小成就，不追求進步。此外，另一些人對自己評價過高，完全忽視他人的建議。這些都將導致對他們將來有壞的影響。

When it comes to competition and cooperation, some people always emphasize competition but neglect cooperation. Their reasons run as following: to begin with, they believe only competition can help them defeat their counterparts; in addition, they think competition is the only way to lead to success.

談到競爭與合作，有些人總是強調競爭，而忽視合作。其原因如下：首先，他們認爲只有競爭才能幫助他們擊敗對手;此外，他們認爲競爭是通向成功的唯一途徑。

But some others hold different opinion. They think cooperation is as important as competition. They base their opinion on the following reasons: on one hand, cooperation can build trust between each other and help to bring long-term relationship; on another hand, cooperation can turn a small and weak business into a big and strong one.

也有人持不同的意見。他們覺得合作與競爭一樣重要。他們根據他們的想法，理由如下：一方面，合作可以建立相互之間的信任並幫助建立長期的合作關係;另一方面，合作可以使一個弱小的企業變成一個強大的企業。

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that both competition and cooperation are essential to success and thus should be emphasized at the same time.
