那些過時的習俗 The Outdated Tradition

China has the history of more than five thousand years, and we are so proud of the culture. When foreign people come to China, they are attracted by the variety of culture. We are advocated to preserve the tradition, while for the outdated part, it should be removed.
中國有着五千多年的歷史，我們也爲這些文化而感到驕傲。當外國人來到中國，他們都會被其文化的多樣性所吸引。我們提倡保護傳統，然而對於過時的那部分，我們應該要摒棄。

Every time when the big day comes for Chinese people, they get used to ask their families and friends to have a big dinner, but tragedy happens sometimes because of the old tradition. For example, a boy was so glad to enter the top university that he asked relatives and friends to celebrate, people kept toasting him. As a result, the boy died of drinking too much. What a great tragedy. The good thing turned to be bad suddenly. 
每次中國人有喜事的時候，他們都習慣叫家人、朋友去大吃一頓，因爲古老的傳統，有時卻會發生悲劇。例如，一個男孩很高興考上了一所好大學，他邀請親戚、朋友來慶祝，大家不斷給他敬酒，結果，男孩死於飲酒過量。真是悲劇，好事突然變成了壞事。

Such tragedy happens all the time for Chinese people. The old tradition result in the end of many young lives. Drinking is the main root. People drink for seeking business cooperation, or showing respect. When we realize it is not right to keep the outdated culture, it is time to remove the negative part.
這樣的悲劇對國人來說時有發生。那些老傳統終結了好多年輕的生命。飲酒是主要的根源。人們通過喝酒來尋求業務合作，以示尊重。當我們意識到這樣做是不對時，就是時候把過時和消極的部分摒棄掉了。
