欲速則不達 Haste Makes Waste

In my daily life, I always want things to be done quickly, however, the results tend to turn out just the opposite of what I wish. As the saying goes “more haste, less speed”, baste never helps, instead it makes waste.

在日常生活中，我總想把事情辦得炔一些，可結果往往事與願違。正如常言道：“欲速則不達”。圖快毫無益處，反而造成浪費。
Once I was in a hurry trying to catch the train to Shanghai. I packed up and put all the things I would need into a suitcase and locked it. Then I took a taxi and boarded the train on time. When I arrived in Shanghai and was comfortably settled in a hotel, I tried to open my suitcase. To my great disappointment, I found I did not have the key with me. I had left it at home without my knowing it.

有一次，我忙着去趕上海的火車，收拾好行李，把所需要的東西放進箱子，上了鎖。然後乘出租車，及時上了火車。到上海並在旅館裏舒適地安頓下來後，就要打開箱子。令我大失所望的是：我發現自己沒帶鑰匙，不知不覺地把鑰匙丟在了家裏了。

Another Time I was trying to fill a bettIe with hot water to warm my feet before going to bed. In a hurry, I took the bottle full of “cold water” and poured it out. While I was pouring and cnjoying the sound the liquid made while coming out of the bottle, my brother shouted at me, “Hey, you are pouring out my liqor!”

又有一次，在睡覺前我想灌一瓶熱水焐腳。匆忙之中，我拿起一瓶盛滿“涼水”的瓶，然後把涼水倒掉。我正在一面倒一面欣賞液體從瓶中倒出的聲音時，我哥哥朝我大叫：“嘿，你把我的白酒給倒了!”
From my own experinece, I draw a painful lesson HASTE MAKES WASTE.
從自己的經歷中，我得出一個痛苦的教訓：欲速則不達。
