Theauther: "We met in my hometown in Georgia. I had this car, a '56 Ford. And I was kinda wild at that time too. I used to come to her house and it was like a sandy row and I used to just swing around in her yard. Just make circles out in her yard. And she'd come out and sometimes get in the car and we'd talk. "Sometimes we think we love when we don't love. A lot of people say they are in love but really we were young and we really didn't know what love was all about. But afterward we found out what love was! Love is sharing with one another. Don't care what you have you share what you have. And be willing to give. Another thing I tell people now is that you have to be able to bend a little bit. Yes, love is a powerful thing. If you know what it means."

I haven't thought of that in years! I can't even remember her name because I only had a couple of dates with her. And the fire wasn't there. You know that real fire! Moe: "We've been married for 66 years. We met in high school when I was 16 years old and my wife was 15 years old. And we've gone through life together. Cathy: "We have had the laundry business for 23 years. I work six days a week and my husband works seven days. Of course everybody feels good when they first fall in love. In the beginning I felt like I was married to Roberto Valentino! He was gentle and nice. You want to try to stay the same but we work really hard and we get tired. With love you have to trust each other. You need good communication."

I was the second one to approach her, I had a differen't uniform, but I'm still not sure if it was my uniform or my face that attracted her to me."

Golda: "We knew each other before the war but we never spoke. He was with other girls because he was much, much older than me. You know he was very nice looking! He was a tailor and he had a place where he made suits for men. When we came back from the war he had gone to my sisters house. I was staying with her. In August of this year we will have been married 63 years. I would say love came little by little. Not right away. We were young and he was older but I liked him. He spoke to me in a very nice way. We have two children. A boy and a girl."

Grace: "We met Labor Day weekend in September and he proposed to me two weeks later on my birthday. He took me to a French restaurant. My father and my brother and my sister objected because I didn't know him that well but instinctively as a Libra I felt that he was the right person. So they objected but I felt that it was the right thing. My feeling was that if I made a mistake it would be my mistake and I'd only have myself to blame. If I didn't marry him and I didn't meet anyone else that equalled the way I felt for him I would always blame my family. So I took it upon myself to say yes."

Angie: "You don't really think about getting older. First of all, you're aging together and when you see a person constantly you don't notice big changes. You don't notice, oh, you are getting a little wrinkle here and tomorrow you say it's a little deeper. Those are things that just happen. You don't pay attention to those things. I mean, I am not thinking everyday, oh my husband is 83 years old and my goodness I am married to an old man! And I hope he feels that way too."
