One day ,he went to the farmland and pulled up the seeding one by one he returned home ,he was very exhausted."I am tired out today，”he said to his family ,"I helped the seeding to grow."

His son was surprised . He hurried to the fields to see what had happened turned out that all the seeding had shriveled up.

in the spring and autumn period, there was a farmer who was impatient by nature. he thought his rice shoots(嫩枝) were growing too slowly, so he decided to help them by pulling them.

有個急性子的宋國人，日夜盼望稻田裏的稻子快些長大。可是，稻子是要慢慢長的，不能照他想的那樣長的那麼快。

one day at dusk, he went back home dog-tired and said to his family: "i helped the rice shoots grow today." hearing this, his son hurried to the field, only to find that all the plants had withered(乾枯) .

有一天，他想出了一個妙計：下得田去，把每棵稻子都從土裏拔高了一些。“好累啊!辛辛苦苦幹了一整天!不過，田裏的稻子倒是都長高好些了。”他的兒子聽說田裏的稻子長高了好些，連忙跑到田裏去看。可是，糟糕得很，田裏的稻苗的葉子，都開始枯萎了。

Once upon a time, there was an old farmer who planted a plot of rice. After he planted the seedlings, every day he went to the field to watch the seedlings grow. He saw the young shoots break through the soil and grow taller each day, but still, he thought they were growing too slowly. Eventually he got impatient with the young plants and suddenly he hit upon an idea that one by one, he pulled up the young plants by half an inch. The next early morning, the young man couldn’t wait to check his “achievement”, but he was heart-broken to see all the pulled-up young plants dying.
