英國前首相布萊爾就伊拉克戰爭道歉
Tony Blair has given a qualified apology for his role in the 2003 Iraq war, conceding it contributed to the rise of Isis and admitting he had not fully understood the chaos that would follow the removal of Saddam Hussein.
英國前首相托尼布萊爾(Tony Blair)就他在2003年伊拉克戰爭中扮演的角色作出了有保留的道歉，他承認，這造成了“伊拉克和黎凡特伊斯蘭國”(ISIS)的崛起，他還承認他未能充分理解剷除薩達姆侯賽因(Saddam Hussein)之後會出現何種混亂局面。
The former Labour prime minister also admitted the war was based on faulty intelligence in what is seen as his most comprehensive mea culpa since the conflict. He said: “I also apologise for some of the mistakes in planning and certainly our mistake in our understanding of what would happen once you removed the regime.”

Asked by CNN if the war was the “principal cause” of the rise of the Islamist militant group Isis he replied: “I think there are elements of truth in that.

“Of course you can’t say those of us who removed Saddam in 2003 bear no responsibility for the situation in 2015.” But he argued that the Arab spring, which began in 2011, would also have had an impact on Iraq.
