Paolo Gentiloni, Italy’s foreign minister, has been chosen to replace Matteo Renzi as prime minister amid signs of a quick solution to the political crisis that has convulsed the eurozone’s third-largest economy over the past week.

意大利外交部長保羅.真蒂洛尼(Paolo Gentiloni)被選定接替馬泰奧.倫齊(Matteo Renzi)出任總理，有跡象表明，各方試圖快速解決過去一週困擾歐元區第三大經濟體的政治危機。

After three days of consultations with parliamentary leaders, Sergio Mattarella, Italy’s president, summoned Mr Gentiloni to the presidential palace in central Rome yesterday and asked him to form a government.
