痛心! 澳大利亞一8歲女孩於賽車場殞命!

An eight-year-old girl has died after crashing her junior drag racing car on a track in Western Australia.

近日，西澳大利亞州一名八歲的小女孩，在她的初級組直線加速賽車撞上賽道之後，不幸身亡。

Anita Board was on a solo "test run" when her vehicle hit a concrete barrier at the Perth Motorplex, police said.

警方表示，安妮塔·波德是在Perth Motorplex的個人賽車試跑時撞上了混凝土障礙。

Paramedics treated her at the scene before taking her to hospital, where she died a day later.

醫務人員當場進行了救治，隨後將其送往了醫院，不過一天後她就在醫院去世了。

The girl had been attempting to gain her licence for junior dragster racing, the Australia National Drag Racing Association (Andra) said.

She had just turned eight - the minimum age required to race under official rules - and was driving a 210cc dragster, local media reported.

As a result of the accident, Western Australia has now suspended junior racing at the Perth Motorplex, the state's only drag racing arena.

此次事故之後，西澳大利亞州暫停了在Perth Motorplex的賽事，這裏是西澳洲唯一的直線加速賽車場地。

A statement from Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray said: "The suspension of this category of motorsport activity allows for a full investigation to be carried out into the nature of the accident. The State Government will wait until the details of the accident are clear following the investigation before taking any further action".

體育和娛樂部部長米克·穆雷在一則聲明中表示：“暫停這一分類的賽車活動，是爲了更好地調查該事故的性質。州政府會等事故的詳細報告弄清之後再採取下一步措施。”

The girl's father, Ian Board, posted a message online saying "my heart is in a million pieces".

安妮塔的父親伊恩·波德在網上發佈了一條信息，稱“我的心已經碎成了上百萬塊”。
