Customers across the country posted on social media about the gravy crisis.

Most restaurants are back open again, but some are offering a reduced menu due to distribution issues.

A spokesman said: "We're working as hard as we can to get this sorted out. We know that our gravy is a big favourite."

Police in Tower Hamlets, London, revealed that some had even reported a closed KFC restaurant as a crime.
