Several years ago, I tried to learn how to bake cakes in rice cooker and succeeded in making it. My roommate is a baking genius and she taught me to bake cakes at home.

幾年前，我試着在電飯鍋裏烤蛋糕，成功了。我的室友是個烘焙天才，她教我在家烘焙蛋糕。

Learning how to bake cakes inrice cooker was pretty difficult because of several rea sons. First of all, the portions of materials used were hardto control because I didn't have enough professiona cooking tools. I estimated all the materials and merged to gether. I actually failed once, and succeeded at the second time. Secondly, baking cakes in rice cooker is different from baking in oven. I couldn't change the temperature of rice cooker and I couldn't know how well the cake became with the time passing by either. I had to guess and make sure the cake was not over-cooked. I had to pay more attention to the cake and couldn't leave the cake alone. The last difficult thingwas how to take the cake outof the rice cooker. I had toslip the whole cake into a plate with some skills.

My favorite TV series isJourney to the West. It is madeaccording to a namesake Chineseclassic. It mainly describes a longourney to the Western Heaven tofetch the Buddhist Sutras. Themain characters of this TV series are a monk, named Xuanzang, and his four disciples, named Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing and Yulong Santaizi. Each of the four disciples has his own special skills and they have to protect their master from various monsters and calamities throughout the journey. Afterencountering eighty-one disasters, they finally reach their destination and successfully get the Buddhist sutras. I like this TV series because it tells people that even though you may encounter a lot of difficulties in your life, you should never shrink back. Try your best to get over the difficulties and never stop pursuing your final target. Every time I meet difficulties in my life and want to give up, I will think of this TV series, and then I will put myself together and keep on moving forward.

I remembered one day last year I got up really early in orderto watch marathon in the starting line, which is also the finishingline. I got up extremely early, athalf past four in the morning. Itwas still dark outside and my eyes were so sore that I couldn't open them, coz, you know, I only slept like 4 hours. My dad told me that the roads would be blocked for the race at 6 so we had to be there before 6. I really expected the marathon race, so, actually, I woke up before my clock rang. I felt very excited so lgot up immediately. I washed my face, brushed my teeth and got echanged in only 15 minutes.

我記得去年的一天，我起得很早，爲了看馬拉松在起跑線，這也是終點線。我起得特別早，阿瑟夫凌晨4點多。外面還是黑的，我的眼睛痛得睜不開，因爲你知道，我只睡了4個小時。我爸爸告訴我六點鐘的比賽道路會被堵塞，所以我們必須在六點鐘之前趕到那裏。我真的很期待馬拉松比賽，所以，事實上，我在鬧鐘響之前就醒了。我感到很興奮，所以我立刻站了起來。我洗臉，刷牙，換衣服只用了15分鐘。

When we got there, a number of people have already ough it was still dark and cold, the crowd there made us feel warm. There were 2 hours before the race, so we had breakfast and chatted while we were waiting.
