情態動詞的四大分類
一、在我們英語語法學習總，情態動詞是我們在英語句子中經常用到的，情態動詞（Modal verbs）本身有一定的詞義，表示語氣的單詞。但是不能獨立作謂語，只能和動詞原形一起構成謂語。情態動詞用在行爲動詞前，表示說話人對這一動作或狀態的看法或主觀設想。情態動詞雖然數量不多，但用途廣泛，主要有下列： can (could), may (might), must, need, ought to, dare (dared), shall (should), will (would) must not.
二、情態動詞可以分爲四大類：
第一類：只做情態動詞:must,may……
第二類：可做情態動詞又可做實義動詞：如：need, dare,can.......
第三類：具有情態動詞特徵：have(had,has) to,used to, ought to
第四類：可做情態動詞又可作助動詞：如：shall(should),will(would)例如：
1.You may come anytime you want.
你可以隨時過來。
2.I would go to Norway one day.
我有一天將要去挪威。
3.I would not choose this color.
我不會選擇這個顏色。
4.You should respect your teacher.
你應當尊重你的老師。
5.You should not make noise when the baby is sleeping.
嬰兒睡覺的時候，你不應該大聲喧譁。
6.I can speak 3 languages.
我會說3中語言。
7.You must not eat it up if you are full.
如果你飽了，你就沒必要吃了。
三、注意：mustn't代表強烈禁止 must表示主觀，have to表示客觀。美式英語中常用must not 而不用 mustn't. mayn't,mightn't和shan't也很少用。
