修飾全句常用的副詞有：

obviously / undoubtedly

apparently / fortunately

clearly / unfortunately

incredibly / luckily

unluckily / surprisingly

frighteningly

這些副詞大多數表示說話人對全句的看法，在意思上相等與 “It is ... 形容詞that ...” 。

舉個例子：

Obviously, he is nervous about the test. =It is obvious that he is nervous about the test.

四 用分詞、分詞短語開頭

(1) 修飾句子主語，表示主語所處的狀態或主語同時進行的另一個較謂語動詞次要的動作。

Chased by my dear pet cat, the mouse dashed into a small hole.( 狀態 )

五 用介詞短語開頭，表示句子謂語動詞發生的時間、地點、方式、原因、條件

Unlike his father, Peter touches neither cigarettes nor alcohol.( 方式)

六 動詞不定式開頭，強調謂語動詞動作的目的
