I’m very glad to make a speech here. The topic of my speech is "be a civilized, courteous person."

ladies and gentlemen, may i take your attention? thank you! today i will give a talk about biding to host the national civilized city. with the developing of societal science and technology in the earth which i love deeply, our life becomes more and more convinent and comfortable. but on the other hand, how is our envorinment and how is people’s cultural quality. iam very sad use people throw rabbish here and there. and people drive car again sting the rules. how terrible our city is!

but luckly, the govenment of jiang xi province hosts an activity named "bid to host the national civilizd city" can help to ehance our cultural quality as the same time the developing of sicence and technolog.

this activity let citizens know the ture meaning of civilizd des,let people know more about the basic knoeledge and , let us know hosting the national civilizd city is not a thing of a moment!so we must have perseverance to do what we can do and what we should do to help our city to be more civilizable.

for example, we can hold some good activities every can make some speeches to arouse the public’s aware.

when we do our best to do it, we can see the blue sky being cleaner,the rival is more beautiful, the traffic is more convinent and our city is more civilizable.

How to Behave Well?

In order to build a civilized city, we students should try our best to behave well in the activities.

It's a good habit to keep our clothes clean and tidy. Our city should be kept clean every day. Don't throw litter or spit about. It's good manners to say "Thank you" and "Please" and so on. We should never say dirty words. Be friendly to others and always ready to help the people in need. For example, when we are on a bus, we should give our seats to the old and the women with babies. We should also obey traffic rules. When the traffic lights are red, we should stop. And we'd better not talk or laugh loudly in public.

If everyone behaves well, our city will be more beautiful and more attractive.

How is it going? At my school we’re talking about what we should do to be a good student.

To be a polite middle school student, I think we have to do a lot of things. First,it’s important for us to speak politely. We must respect the others. When I meet someone I know , I often greet him by saying hello to him happily. We are supposed to be kind to others, warm-hearted to everyone, and generous to our friends. Second, we can’t throw rubbish everywhere. We must throw them in the rubbish bins. Littering is not a good habit. Every time I go to the park, I always pick up the litter and put it into the bin. I think if we all do so, the world will be cleaner. Another important thing is that we must follow the rules. There is no doubt that waiting in line is the important rule. I never rush into the bus. Waiting may be a happy thing. I foten feel happy when I do something that is better for us. I think being a polite middle school student is proud.

On September 12th, 20__, our school held a flag-raising ceremony on the playground with the theme “For your safety, for your life!”

Tang Shaofeng, on behalf of the students, made a speech. He said that safety concerns every one of us and hidden threat against safety was everywhere. We may easily get injured in sports or traffic accidents , or get sick from food poisoning. Therefore，we should pay more attention to safety and try to learn more about first aid. To sum up, we should take good care of ourselves for the sake of our family’s happiness.

Later, our headmaster gave us some specific requirements. He said both teachers and students should attach special importance to school safety. Firstly, riding bicycles on campus is strongly prohibited. No ball games are allowed in the academic areas. We should keep to the right when going upstairs or downstairs. Besides, the windows must be closed and the doors must be locked when the last one leaves the classroom. Finally, we should always obey the traffic rules on our way home or to school.
