1. 首先英語教師應該具備豐富的語法理論知識。
英語教師必須要有過硬的英語語法基本理論，基本知識，基本技能和基本技巧;同時英語教師對語法還需不斷創新，不斷探索，不斷深化，要知道其理論依據，還要了解其實質內容，掌握其使用技巧，弄清楚各種教學法的來龍去脈和優劣之處。同時，教師還要緊跟時代步伐，重視教師教學方法與學生學習方法的研究，讓理論與實踐相結合。只有教師具備了豐富的語法理論知識，才能爲教學實踐奠定堅實的理論基礎，才能在語法教學的過程中做到遊刃有餘，有的放矢。
2.教師應根據學生實際出發，創造性地設計出最適合的語法講解法。
教師要靈活運用教材，在備課的時候多從學生的角度出發，合理安排難度和深度，因人因地宜，做出取捨，進行改編。根據學生的實際接受能力和水平，必要時可補充適當的內容，使其更加符合學生的實際需要。如：在講解倒裝語序時，課本中歸納了9點。儘管比較全面，但我認爲可以把倒裝分爲分成兩大板塊：全部倒裝和部分倒裝;然後分別列出有哪些情況需要倒裝。其次是可以把課本的第六點和第八點統一歸納爲含有否定意義的副詞或連詞，這樣更易於學生記憶。其次，課文中的歸納並沒有完整，在平時教學中還應補充。如句型：Not only…but also…, No sooner…than…; Hardly…when…,注意他們的共同點和搭配的不同點,以及他們和Not until 放在句首用倒裝的區別.又如 as 引導讓步狀語時,句型爲:表語/狀語/動詞原形+as+主語+謂語的特殊句式和may表祝願的句子,一般用全部倒裝;若謂語帶有情態動詞則用部分倒裝,如:
1). May you succeed!
2). Long live the people’s Republic of China!
當然還有很多,需要我們在平時教學中多總結,多積累,不要純粹的照搬書本。
3.把本來枯燥的語法講解設計在一定的生活語言情景中,使教學呈現更加的真實化和生動化。
雖然教材中設計了很多語境和活動,但由於師生能力,辦學條件,時間,空間等差別較大,教師必須根據當時教學的實際情況自行設計出切實可行的方案,讓語法在生動形象的語言場景中運用起來.既實現了語言的最終目的,也讓學生輕鬆的掌握了語法.如在講一般現在時,一般過去時,過去進行時,現在進行時這幾種時態時,可以編制如下一段話:Now the teacher is telling you a story. Mary studies at NO.6 middle school. She is always ready to help others. One day , while Mary was walking down a street, she saw an old woman crossing the street. She went up to the women and helped her sets a good example for us . All of us should learn from her from now on .首先，讓學生們在小組內分別把這個故事所發生時間寫下來。然後讓學生分別寫下發生在不同的時間所用的不同的動詞。其次，在學生都熟悉以後，以不同的角色,如小組內讓一位扮演新聞記者，而其餘的同學分別扮演Mary, Mary的同學，the old man等作爲被採訪的對象，從而引出各種時態的一般疑問句，特殊疑問句及相關的否定形式。.最後，老師先讓學生們歸納這幾種時態的區別和用法，再以表格的形式呈現。.這樣在歡樂的氣氛中學會了看似很難的語法.當然,方法不只是編對話一種,不同的語法可以設計不同的方法。
4.在講解語法時要注意方法的科學性和有效性。
1)真實性: 語法規則的講解必須忠實於原文.若要顧及簡明性而不得不損及原文時,也必須最大限度地近似。
2)明確性:語法講解必須做到明確.如英語中will作助動詞表將來和be going to ,be about to 的區別表純將來,be going to 表計劃,打算的將來 about to 表示即將.馬上發生的事.只有這樣明確講解以後才能讓學生一目瞭然。
3)簡單性:切忌把語法講得太冗雜,太深奧,讓學生百思不得其解.而講得不簡潔通常是由於老師怕學生不懂,所以反覆哆嗦,想包攬所有的事例顧及一切.結果反而是老師全懂學生卻不知所云.例如,我在講解定語從句時就用瞭如下簡明的框架結構。
