如何寫好一篇大學英語文章：檢查及注意點
寫一篇文章，做好了前期的準備工作，也認真的寫完了正文，你以爲這樣就結束了嗎？不，我們需要從頭到尾檢查一遍。來看看該如何檢查及修改自己的文章吧：
1、Wait a day or so and re-read your essay 等一天或幾天再看你的文章
這是一個很實用的自檢方法，不止是寫作，也應用於很多領域。隔一段時間再來看自己寫的文章，多多少少會看出些當時自己沒注意到的問題。
2、Correct errors related to grammar, punctuation and spelling 檢查語法、標點和拼寫錯誤
在現在的科技時代，拼寫和語法錯誤很容易就能糾正。
如果你不確定如何使用引號、冒號、分號等標點，建議你多看看參考書和參考文章。避免使用感嘆號。逗號、句號需要包括在引號內。
3、Check your statements 檢查句子
注意這些容易犯錯的詞：than/then, your/you're, its/it's等等。
4、Remove any repetitive or unnecessary words 刪除重複的或是沒必要的單詞
多種表達能爲你的文章增彩。使用不熟悉的單詞前建議好好查閱字典。
另外，要使你的句子簡潔明瞭。避免一直用大詞，恰當的小詞能提升你的文章水平。簡潔明瞭也易於讀者閱讀。

書面語和口語是不能混爲一談的。請不要使用縮寫（如：e.g., don't, can't, won't, shouldn't, could've, or haven't）。寫作需要嚴謹。
6、Analyze how your essay flows 分析你的文章流利度
句子和句子之間銜接的流暢嗎？段落與段落之間邏輯關係嚴密嗎？良好的起承轉合能幫助你順利的表達觀點。以下提供一些例子：
當事情有先後順序時：I first started to realize that I was in the minority when I was in middle school… My realization was confirmed when I proceeded to high school.
一個想法與另一個想法：Vegetarians argue that land is unnecessarily wasted by feeding animals to be eaten as food...Opponents argue that land being used for grazing would not be able to be used to create any other kind of food.
有因果關係時：I will be the first person in my family to graduate from college...I am inspired to continue my family's progress through the generations.
想法相近時：Organic food is thought to be better for the environment… local food is believed to achieve the same goals.
7、Cut information that's not specifically related to your topic 刪掉和你的主題不相關的信息
這點不需要多說。請乾脆的刪掉不支持或間接支持你的觀點的信息。
8、Have someone read your paper aloud to you, or record yourself reading it aloud and play it back 請別人大聲朗讀你的文章，或者自己錄音後再聽
在檢查語言錯誤方面，有時候你的耳朵會比眼睛更好用。
9、Rewrite any problematic body passages 重寫有問題的段落
不要犯懶，段落有問題又難以改正時就需要重寫。如果需要，也得重新安排句子和段落的順序，以保證你的文章流利度。
