爲切實保障兒童健康成長，中國立法、司法、政府各有關部門以及社會團體都建立了相應的機構。在全國人民代表大會和中國人民政治協商會議內分別設有負責婦女兒童保障的立法和監督機構。國務院下設的婦女兒童工作委員會，負責協調和推動政府有關部門做好維護兒童權益的保障工作，爲兒童辦實事。
