Despite months of anticipation, nothing could have prepared me for the impact of the actual day. Tears welled up uncontrollably in my eyes when I slowly stepped into my Alma Mater on high school graduation day.

Exciting as the prospect of a new life seemed, it wasn't easy saying goodbye to the old one, the familiar faces, the familiar routine. I would even miss that mathematics class I wasn't particularly fond of and the long commute each day that I abhorred. Good or bad, it was what I knew. There had been sunshines and rains, laughers and tears, and they still existed in every corner I could see. From that day on, I became a grown up, with all the bitter and sweet memories behind.

I never know that a newborn child will be so tiny and wrinkle. But she just likes an angel. Seeing her, I feel my heart get warm right away. I couldn’t forget the moment I saw her.

Last summer holiday, I learned to swim. It was very unforgettable and interesting. I went to the swimming pool with my father. He taught me how to swim. At first, I was afraid of diving in the water. And I felt uncomfortable in the water. But father said it doesn’t matter and he would protect me. Then I began to swim, but I couldn’t swim forward at all. It made me upset. Then father told me how to move, how to stretch out my hands and legs. Slowly, I could move a little. In fact, it was not that easy. I learned it for almost half a month. I was excited when father told me I made it.
