從句：時間狀語從句

1.時間狀語從句可由when，whenever， while，before，after，until，till，since，now that，once，as soon as等連詞引起：
Let’s wait until(till)the rain stops．
等雨停了再說。
She comes to talk to me whenever she feels lonely．
每當她感到寂寞時就來和我聊天。
As I talked, I gained some confidence．
我一面談着一面增強了信心。
Now that I have come back, I want to help you both．
現在既然我回來了，我要幫助你們兩人。
Once the train is moving, there is no way to stop it．
一旦火車開動了就沒法址它停下來。

2．由every time，the moment等詞引起的從句也可以用作狀語
Every time I catch a cold, I have pain in my back.
每回傷風我的背就疼。
Stormy applause broke forth the moment she appeared on the stage.
她一在臺上出現就響起暴風雨般的掌聲。
He had impressed me that way the first time I met him．
我第一次碰到他時，他就給我這個印象。
Be sure to call on us next time you come to town．
下次進城你一定來找我們。

3．instantly，immediately，directly等詞也可引起時間狀語從句
The machine will start instantly you press the button．
你一按電鈕機器就會開動。
I’ll give you an answer immediately I’ve finished reading your report
我看完你的報告立即給你答覆。
Directly he uttered these words there was a dead silence.
他一說出這些話，大家立刻沉默下來。
